 On 4.0 jeep 1989 chcking ckp sensontesting off motor? |

reamover my ckp senson fuel gauge starting working, could hear realys clicking like normal, then pluged back in then all quit again,so I removed can I check the sensor off jeep.....

test the crank position senser with an ohmmeter to see if it's open circuit or dead short. if neither then pass a steel blade knife or screw driver back and forth over it while watching ohmmeter readings should change sharply as theblade passes through the magnetic feild of the sensor

I am familiar with the 1989 Jeep, but don’t have idea what you're talking about.
Can you use spell check, state model, what does this mystery item do.
