On a Dodge car how do you disable a factory alarm? |
|
The problem is, is that my neighbors daughter has a Dodge Avenger. Her car was recently broken into. she's unable to lock her car doors. generally been that way, because she doesn't have the remote. Everytime she locks the car and goes to unlock, the alarm goes off. so she avoids locking it. I know that you may buy new alarms remotes and everything. But, now, they are not worried with that, they just want to know how to totally disarm the alarm. it's a factory alarm.

There is no way of permenantly disarming the alarm unless you find where it is and disconnect it, which shouldn't be done unless the person knows what they're doing because its probaly connected to the cars ignition and electrical system.
However, to drive the car if it is not starting she has to stick the key in the ignition and leave it turned on for 30 min maybe 45 based on the car make and model..
also I'm not sure if the part about driving I mentioned is relevant but if not she may also attempt just locking the doors manually instead of pusing the door locks/ unlock button located on the door
Hope this works

Just get the new remote s for the car.
This is going to be the fastest, simplest, and cheapest fix to the problem.
Trying to disable the alarm on your or paying a garage to do so is silly and expensive in that order.
