My friend recently upgraded his STI, I haven',t gotten a chance to measure the part but do you think the headers from the STI could fit in a 09 lancer?

not a chance. I have been working on old mustangs my whole life but on cars that all had 302 CI engines 5.0 liters could have different headers just because they were different years because the screw pattern wouldnt line. The odds of a header from a mitsubishi lancers headers fitting on a subaru sti is going to be thin to none, ontop of that the turbo piping could have to fit exactly also.. Do yourself a favor and purchase the correct header because the facbrication obliged to make it work may put you in a bigger hole.

Dude, have you seen the engine of an STI or any Subaru in comparison to a lancer',s inline 4? The STI has a flat four H4 and his headers will in no universe fit yours. The exhaust ports are way far away from measuring up to yours.
