Porsche 996 Turbo or Ferrari 360 Modena?

Having owned an F355 and driven some Porsches in my time I can tell you they're totally different beasts.

Both have great levels of performance but to me the Ferrais are works of art and I could generally chose them over the rather more utilitarian designs of Porsche.

I did own a Boxster for a while and that was fun but now I have kids now so the bigger Porsche becomes more practical and when all is said and done unless you have two or three cars the Ferrari is just too impractical, I sold mine two years ago :

I can not believe you r asking this. The porshe without a doubt. I own a vintage 930 and its the best car in the world. they handle the best and I say a Ferrari owner is a wannabe Porshe owner haha

They are both "okay."

If you said a 997 or a 993 then hands down that is the way to go.
I was never fond of the 996 look.

Can't tell you about a Ferrari although I have one being dropped off in my driveway this Thursday a 348 and it is mine for one whole week. Nice prize to win is not it?

Meanwhile, before you make your choice check out the mechanics in your area. Both the Porsche and Ferrari are costly to preserve unless you do the work yourself. If you're in an area that doesn't have a reputable mechanic for one then go with the other.

No matter what the key to owning and being able to use these beautiful cars is maintenance. Without it, you may also be driving a 1963 Bug.

Porsche 996 Turbo or Ferrari 360 Modena?

allow me to talk to this from a different angle..

what could your function for either be ???? are you looking for something strictly as a weekend, just weather pu$$y getter ? or are you looking for something you may be able to really drive ??? another question could be how are the roads/streets in your area ?

Ferraris are low to the ground and find EVERY bump, etc.
Porsches are more 'forgiving'.
Ferraris are more 'delicate'.

So, if you want attention no doubt, go with the Ferrari. If you want something a bit more practical, go with the Porsche. My 911 wasn't a turbo and I portrayed it as: ' a go cart on crack', so I can only imagine how either of the two choices could be.

Whichever you chose, be cautious. I had the 911 out on a beautiful Sunday afternoon 'blowing the cobwebs out'. not showing off, racing, etc. just out for a 'spirited drive'. At 105 I went to shift from third to fourth and went third to 2nd instead...oops .
