Porsche 996 Turbo or Porsche 997 carrera 4S?

I love the 996 turbo because I can not pay for a 997 turbo. Since I can pay for a 997 carrera S, I could like to know if 996 turbo is a better purchase or 997 carrera S or 997 carrera 4s is a better buy? Is 997 a lot better than the 996?

good question. I like what the 1st answer said, with only to get a carrera s, you don't need the four wheel drive, its not like your going to drive it throughout a snow storm. Now in picking a 996 turbo, as apposed to a 997 s you have to prioritize. Does proformance matter more than looks? Does the quality of the interior and gadgets influence your choice any? And does the bragging factor come into play? TURBO.. haha, personally I could go for the 911 turbo, due to increased power, wider body style, bigger rear tires, and because its an great car. but just maybe.. save up your pennies and purchase a 997 turbo, they're great. o yeah, take both for a test drive, and learn which one YOU like better duh.

I'd go for a 997 carrera S not 4wd . With the extra money saved you could get a couple of after market enhancement Porsche or otherwise . generally find 2wd more fun than 4wd

Current the new 997 Turbo has already been introduce in the singapore market. Y get a old 996 variant and not get a 997 variant instead? Dun sound quite rite. And its a great difference btw the 996 and the 997 Turbo.

997 C4, 997 C4S are launched in singapore end last year. If you can not pay for the new 997 Turbo, may also get a brand new 911 C4 or C4S. Y dun you drop down at their show room in LK to take a look? Recently there's quite some new model cars they're introducing, mayb you'll find something else tat you may like? If budget worried, why don't look at the new Cayman as well? I heard they're having a test drive event today in their Leng Kee showroom.
