 Porsche remote key not working? |

I have a 99' porsche boxster. I tried changing the battery to the remote key today, and I was carefull in doin so.. but not the buttons don't work at all. the little lcd lite blinks, so it does have power. Could it have lost sync with the car? If so should I take it to the dealer.. the one near me is the worste.. they rape you for everything. I'd apprieciate any tell. Thanks.

Is it the only porcshe thing that isn't working? Lucky you you only have lost sync with reality.
