1992 Audi 100CS idling rich and speedometer not working, could both be caused by car speed sensor?
Ok, it is a 1992 Audi 100CS, V6 5speed. The problem I am having is that the speedometer is not working and the car idles rich, you may be able to smell the gas coming from the exhaust pipe. When I speed up the car drives good, the problem is only when the car is in idle. After driving on the freeway for a little while the car throws a code for the car speed sensor, NOW, I was told that if I replaced the VSS that it could fix both the speedometer problem and the rich idle problem, could that work?

No. The VSS and rich idle are two totally separate issues on your car. The amount of fuel added K Jetronic system early form of fuel injection . The VSS isn't an input to the K Jet.
