Why is it hard to start my 1985 Mercedes 380SL when the engine is hot from running.?

may be a couple of things. One the cold start may be bad and shooting fuel into the engine, or the fuel pump check valve may be bad and the fuel pressure is dropping. Also check the vacuum lines if they have cracks in them the tend to leak more when hot.
