Any ideas why my mercedes c280 airbag alert chimes occationally when started ?

it can be that the computer is doing a check on the airbag system, though if it only does this sometimes, then take to dealer for service. this may point to that there's a problem with the system. if not checked and repaired it may not deploy in an accident compromising your and your passenger's safety.

Yes it may be the computer.or a auto system check.if you're still worried ya as said take it to the dealer and they'll use DAS, then can fix it with the click o a button
