The Mercury product you refer to is long gone. The Zephyr name is being resurrected in the Lincoln line. I believe it's on the road now.

Ford makes a new model with the same name, except its the Lincoln Zephyr. It debuted as a 2006 or 2007 model not sure . The Ford Fusion is the 'everyday version' of the Zephyr.

I agree with Insurance, I think it's established off of most of the Ford 500 parts.

That Zephyr was a Mercury "twin" of the Ford Fairmont. The Zephyr name was used some times since the original Lincoln Zephyr dating to the 50's. There was a 2006 Lincoln Zephyr which was replaced by the 2007 Lincoln MKZ, a change in naming conference. That car is a sister car to the Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan.

Yes.
2006 Lincoln Zephyr. It has been renamed and updated for 2007 and called the MKZ.
It's established off the Mazda six chassis that was stretched and widened.

Actually the Zephyr was made by Mercury and there should be some still around, I see more Fairmonts than I do with the Granada's, the FWD K Cars Dodge Aries/Plymouth Reliant and the FWD X cars Chevrolet Citation of the same era.
