I assume you have a 1986 F 150 with the 5.0L. This was one of Ford 1st EFI engines. The intake manifold was mistakenly intended such that it was able of storing liquid. Upon a turn, if this liquid is present, the liquid goes into the combustion chamber and, well, does not burn too well. To fix attempt the following:
1 verify the PCV is working well.
2 if problem persists, attempt to minimize the liquid. One big supply of water is exhaust gas, which is presented into intake via EGR. attempt disconnecting the EGR valve by taking off the vacuum hose and plugging with a golf tee. See if problem goes away.
At that point you could either keep EGR off for a loss of 1.5% fuel economy, and increase in NOx emissions, or create a drain system. I have never seem this done but I suppose you could drill a small hole in the bottom of the intake. This is a MAP sensor established system so air/fuel percentage won't be influenced like it could be with an airmeter established system. If the hole is too big you'll get an unrestrained high idle. attempt starting small, then hone it out till the problem goes away. Good luck,
