I have a 1999 ford ranger expanded cab truck. Can I put a bench type seat in the front?
I want to take out my console in my truck and put in a bench seat I could like to know what I could have to do to do so and where to go to do it.

I did the exact reverse you're doing. I took out a 60/40 split bench out and put mustang lx buckets in my ranger just switch over the seat frames. or go to local salvage yard or exchange meet to find orig seats and frames.

Yeah, you should not have a problem..you'd just have to find a bench seat that's made for that year and model truck..which can be a problem, or if you do find it, it can be costly.

Yes, you may be able to do that, you just have to drill new holes for the seat, as the holes for the can seats will not work with a bench seat. Plus you'll have to drill holes for the center seatbelt anchors.

You just have to find a bench seat that will work with that year of truck and install it. input the old holes and install the new seat.

This may be done yourself, with a drill and some hand tools i.e. wrenches .
