I just have to think you don't know there's no such thing as a engine rebuild kit for the Nissan 300zx and did you know turbos may cost as much as a engine? Chevy and Ford Engine Kits are available but you start working on a four camshaft 24 valve engine that's as complex as a Z good luck. High mile 1991 300 ZX lets say you may be able to have one cheep $5,000 then $2,900 for a JDM low miles engine and clip from a twin turbo japan specification that will save you thousands. Now you'll need a Nissan Master technician good on old Z cars to install the parts. I'm just finishing up a 300zx 2+2 to twin turbo conversion

No

The engine rebuild kit can be cheap, but the labor is a killer.

If you do it yourself you are facing down a learning curve that could pan out, but most likely will not.

Do it only if you totally, positively must have the car.

If you have the hots for that specific car, and your passion will not let you purchase anything else, that is the only conditions under which you may want to tackle such a big project.
