is the HiFonics BXi1606D amp and good match up for these subs

would it be ok to hook it all up at 1ohm for a total of 1600 watts

the sub is 500watts @ 4ohm ea.

the amp is
550 @ 4
1100 @ 2
1600 @ 1

So yes it's a good match for 1, 2, or four of those subs.
just make sure if more than one, to hook in parallel.

UPDATE : to get a one ohm load 1600watts from those subs could require four they're Single four Ohm Operation. in that case they could not smoke, there could be lots of power handling for that amp w/4 subs = 2000Watts

1600 watts to 1100 watt subs add if you have two is a bit much. do not crank it or they will smoke.
