If you had a '05 Deville, what could you do?

Postby bigbird » Thu Aug 23, 2007 7:58 pm

I just got a 2005 Cadillac Deville and I don’t have idea what to put into it. I use to have a '91 Brougham with four acoustic 12s. I since passed it down to my smaller sibling and now have a new 2005 Deville. Any one with any ideas as far as what subwoofers, speakers, amps, what could be a good size sub, what is a good amp and such. I am giving myself a $10,000 spending bound. Anyone's experience with with any amp or subwoofer or speaker that you had, good or bad, your opinion could do me a great value.

look up reviews on those speakers/subs, they get reviews saying they sound better than speakers twice the price.
4ch amp

sub amp if running two subs, 1amp each sub, if running more subs I could go with a bigger amp

1 thing great about those subs besides how good they sound is they use small enclosures. .88cu ft. sealed. you may be able to have a custom box made that holds three or four since you have a big trunk if you wanted.
im not going to post a headunit because I don't know if you want just an audio deck, a flip out screen, a double din screen, navigation or what. the stuff I posted takes you just over $3100 if you go two subs . crutchfield has a purchase one get one half off going for polk audio, I know you may be able to find the pdx amps cheaper. that leaves you with lots of extra money to get a custom fiberglass box made. and you could get some custom fiberglassing done to your doors and stuff that could hold more speakers. if you did that and went with four sets of speakers and two 4ch amps that could bump you up to around $5000 and if you got a box made for four subs just over $6000. switch from the sub amps I listed and get one big amp instead

Wow. $10,000.00. Okay, 1st off, what do you want to do? Do you want to have an SQ sound quality system or you just want to blow ladies' skirts off? The thing is, typically with that amount you may be pretty adaptable. I spent about that much on my last system and I pretty much got lots of top of the line stuff. Now brands really are subjective, what works for others may not work for you. Personally I like Rockford amps, Audio Control processors, Focal or Morel separates and Kicker or JL subs.

If your wanting to use up 10gz then I could certainly take it to a custom installation audio shop. attempt looking for one where you live. They have the best to offer. and distinctive work.
