no observable leaks from inside, could a drain be clogged? how do you fix it?

Do you have a sunroof? I had a civic that had a alike issue, turned out the sunroof has drains that were clogged.never knew they had drains. I had the shop go ahead and take care of it, so can not tell you where the drains are.but it solved my problem.

Do get rid of the dampness in the car I used a wet/dry shop vac and picked up a product at Bed Bath and Beyond that was a little tub that could pull the moisture from the car. A alike product is available at Home Depot. I can not remember the name, but someone at either store can assist you.

Wind the windows up??Just kidding. Check to see that the seal around your winscreen is 100%. on occasion water goes in there and runs along the inside body till it hits the carpet and starts to stink up the show after a while. Look for rust bubbles that are lifting the seal area or the likes. Also check that all seals aroung wiring, heating and cooling pipes running through your firewall are in place, water can get through there.

You may have a rusty hole in the floor board.

Maybe there are small openings on the flooring or there is a fluid leaking on one of the connections underneath the flooring
