flymetothemoon you muppet, after you have been round the supermarket your trolley weighs more than 200 pounds, anyway the answer is 1310 kg, unless you clear out the junk and change the engine, like brighten pistons and port flow the head, small weight gains but one hell of a car to play with, only thing that lets it down is unreliable wankel engine, costly toy

I have an 89 series five turbo that weighs about 1300kgs

Starting weight for the car is 1310kg. One of the great things about the RX seven was the ease with which you could change it and how good it seems changed. I have seen some these that have been modded and are somewhat heavier because of all the ICE put in them or lighter because someone is trying to save weight and get some speed . I looked at purchasing one a several years ago and it's hard to find one in the UK now that has not had something changed in it.
Shame that the RX 8, as interesting a car as it's, just doesn't live up to, and is nowhere near as good a car as, the RX seven I believe
