Turbo chargers run at high RPMs, and their bearings need a good quality lubricant to protect them from wear. The best thing you may be able to do for a turbo charger is to do recurrent oil changes with good quality oil, and let the engine sit at idle for some times before turning off the engine, to let the turbine to spool down.

Let it idle a minute or two before you shut the engine off. This lets the turbo's bearing cool down so the oil does not cake up.

As others pointed out, lubrication and cooling is important for the longevity of the engine and the turbo itself
