A WHOLE lot depends upon what specification it's built to.
Sorry, but need more details.

Depends if your talking about a newer engine, throttle body injected like out of a 1988 Chevy one ton pickup, about 1000.00+

If your talking older vin correct 454 then it may be much more.

The vin # on the block tells the story of what it's exactly.

are the exhaust ports square, oval or Dee shaped.
does it have open or closed chambers.
hope it isn't a tall block truck motor.
is it a four screw block.
was it taped at the factory for a oil cooler..
.it all maters
the last one I bought like that was $2000 for a L88

Be sure it's a 427. All big blocks are the same on the outside except the 366 & 427 truck motors . I do not think they ever put them in pickups. All 427's are performance engines as far as I know. Casting numbers will tell the whole story. The block number is on the bellhousing flange view from the drivers side top . The head numbers are under the rocker cover and many websites will have the breakdown. If it's a numbers agreeing corvette motor it'll be worth a lot more than a truck motor. See if the top water pump screw is close to the deck surface. Truck motors will have about 3/8" gap.
Since they are not made anymore the price will surely go up so price will be hard to pin down but at least 1,000 for a core and 1,500 up for a running engine.
