Which muffler am I supposed to get for a 2007 chevy silverado?
Just wondering which one sounds good.

Stock sounds good and gives the best back pressure for best engine opperation.

None of them till your warranty runs out.

Borla or Flowmaster three chamber. Both have a nice sound.
Changing the muffler won't influence your warranty.

i agree with daniel h. but I do know from experience that the borla is the best sound and durability. also as performance. if you want the most performance get the borla exhaust kit. with the k&n cold air intake. and denso iridum plugs with the nology plug set. so that it'll breath and exhale better. youll love the throaty sound. flowmaster is good for a car/truck that you only drive on the weekends. so get borla bro..

If you want sound, performance, and your truck to sound mean go with Flowmaster or Borla. By doing this it'll drown out your sound system and most likely drive you nuts to blast your radio just to drown out your exhaust system. Personally I'd go with MagnaFlow, it'll give you a healthy rumble @ 1,500 rpm and @ 3,000rpm. Once the truck goes into overdrive your exhaust will "hush" not giving you the constant sound. it'll give you better horses, torque, and it is great on gas milage, particularly if you just install a cold air intake system. It also will not influence the warranty of the truck. Note: electronic tuning would not hurt either.

Flowmaster generally sounds the best. do not ever go with a free flowing muffler, as they're deafening but sound like crap. Chambered mufflers like flowmaster, borla, and gibson are the only choices for that deep throaty sound.

Simplest, simplest, and cheapest is to go have a catback system put on. Have the muffler shop put on a simple glass pac muffler. I have done it that way to the last three pick ups I have bought new. Sure you may be able to do the Flowmaster thing but all you are to get is a big price tag and a name. you will be able to tell your buddies you have that Flowmaster. but I bet my truck will sound better.
