Whats wrong with my 95 chevy astro van idleing real rough, it sounds like it wants to cut off but it doesnt?
well it sitted on a hill for a couple months without being started. It hardly had any gas, it wouldnt turn over the other day when we tried to get it to some times but nothing, then we but some gas in it from our house and got it to the nearest gas station five minutes away, im thinking trash got up in the line because it taked what was left in the bottom of the tank when we tried to turn it over, it never did this the last time we drove it . the service engine soon light comes on every once and a while. driving and giving it gas it sounds good, but the idle is real rough, what may be my problem

sounds like a fuel injector or fuel line problem. I had a alike problem with my chevy cavalier. rough idle, seemed good when driving but check engine light kept coming on. I had two leaky fule injectors that had spit gas onto the coil pack and spark plugs and totally fried them. got it all replaced and now it runs good.

sounds like the EGR valve is stuck open from all the carbon
build up. extreme carbon build can come from a leaking fuel pressure regulator. remove your EGR and clean all the
carbon and be sure it closes. carb cleaner in one of the
holes and check if it goes to the other port.

egr valve can be one reason..check for any vacuum leak,s,also check map sensor, run some carb./injector cleaner through your system.
