My Lancer Mirage makes a rough sound from the engine when the engine is revved..Kinda like a diesel car.Why?
It is 94 model, CB2. Some say its the tapets and a well recognized garage said it may be either tapets or the seal I do not know what a seal is . But I know the car is 16 valve DOHC. Other than that, it's a great, dependable car.. My friend has the same car but it does not have such problem.. it is engine is smooth. Why does my car make a rough sound from the engine?

Yes, take it in for for maintenance, whatever the problem may be they can hear it once the Tech starts it up and accelerates...
