I have been informed not an envoy user that if you have 4x4 devices on your car manual switch that you may want to take it off when road conditions are just. The tires are damaged and traction will be poorer when it's totally needed to use it in snowy slick conditions . The car also will ride more about if the traction is on without because.

Turn it off save yourself treads

No. That will because problems with your truck. attempt letting it off. You really don't need it in just weather. The only times you may need it's when there are snowy roads or its pouring rain. you may want to definatly read your manual.

You do not need it if the weather is good, plus your car has electronic auto locking rear differential in case your wheels turn on a bump or something, you do not need this turned on all the time.

Do you mean traction control or 4WD? Big difference.

AWD may be used on dry roads with no problems.

4WD needs to have some slippage to prevent car damage. Slippage may be wet, gravelly, snowy roads. Dry pavement, do not be using 4WD.

Traction control is good to leave on all the time. The reason it may be turned off is to get you more control if you are already stuck in the snow or mud.
