I have a vauxhall vectra 1.6 `Its the 2001 model. Front end shakes badly at dspeeds above 70mph, it?
at 70 mph or above the whole front end vibrates, it does't need a wheel balance. Any ideas

Where I come from Vectras are made by Holden and are front wheel drive so can I assume yours is too? You may like to have the front suspension system checked for worn rubbers and loose or worn linkages. Any torsion or stabiliser bars could also require checking.
Checking your engine mounts would not go amiss either. till the fault is and repaired, I would not go near that speed. If you can access another car, I could not drive the Vectra till its repaired.
