Does anybody who owns or knows a lot about the Lexus SC 430 have any thoughts or comments about it? Am thinking of purchasing one.

The SC430 is a great car in general and by buying one you are going to know you bought an excellent quality car. purchasing a Lexus is like purchasing a two tonne slab of stone because you know nothing is going to go wrong with it in a general sense.

With the SC430 you get a 4.3L V8 engine producing a good 288bhp.

Styling on this car is debatable, some could call it a big metal Jello mould but others could define it as a sleek and classy work of art with wheels. It really depends on your taste. For the money but there are many other choices in cars that you may purchase that will have the same driving attraction and finesse of an SC430. As earlier stated by another member, the GS430 is a good choice. though theoretically not in the same group as an SC430, you still lots of hp, 300bhp to be exact, for cheaper.

If you are looking for a two seater sports car but, there's the Jaguar XK8, Nissan 350Z, Honda S2000, Mercedes Benz S Class. Of course not all are in the same price range but they are all great cars to drive.

I drove one for a week once. it's one hell of a sports car. Not the best but it's sporty. Around 300+ HP and not good gas mileage. strong suspension, small V8, rear wheel drive, navigation, auto ew, convertible. I caught myself going a steady 100MPH riding 2.5k RPM's and I thought I goed around 70. it's one nice car I will say that. BUT, good luck on parts and fixing little things. Ugh. Check you reviews on this car. Lexus is a good brand. if you may be able to pay for it.

First off, it's a nice car. I'm not a big fan of it although. I don't think it's worth the price tag. I have driven quite some Lexus'. I think you could be better off to get a GS450H, it's a hybrid, but it is got some balls. The GS is cheaper than the SC. there's no room in the SC. The SC barely weighs less than an LS it weighs about 4500 lbs. The GS may be driven year round. Plus I found the SC to be kind of sluggish. Or another great choice could be the IS 350. The 350 is pretty sweet.
