The way it works is that it applies the brakes if the car starts to fish rear or run out of its meant course. it's a life saving technology that when used properly can save you and your passengers. generally wear your seat belt. I consult in Mazda's head office in Japan and have found nothing more annoying in the complete business than people who create abbreviations that already exist.
I have suggested for fifteen years that the business come to an understanding of meanings abbreviations, acronyms, monikers. but to no avail. Engineers have the hardest heads in our species. The one thing I can tell you for certain is never to use an auto related abbreviation unless you know the person you are speaking to has the same understanding you have of it.
