Friend has car that elec.window is stuck. Batt. also gets drained, got new one, still being drained wha is it
My friends passenger window is stuck in the open position, its electrical. Her battery keeps to get drained after purchasing a new battery. Could it be window that's draining the battery or is it something else like alternator. Car runs good but something is draining battery.

Take the ground negative battery terminal off. Put a test light between cable and battery post. Pull fuses one at a time till light goes out. that's the circuit that's draining the battery. There are some circuits that generally drain somewhat eg. clock. A test light lights at about one amp draw. A one amp draw will drain a battery in about 70 hours. Higher draw = faster draw. can purchase test light at auto parts store for less than $10.00.

Problem may be window, or trunk light, or dome light, or glove box light etc.

Sounds like your friend has an electrical short. Most probably caused by that stuck window.

If the motor or switch are drawing power it'll drain the battery. attempt taking the fuse out for the stuck window and see if that assists. If it does take car to a shop and have them learn if its the motor or the switch that is bad.

Look into the window's "actuator". I had the same problem. The battery _may_ be a different problem. Good luck on finding the solution.

Every electric window in a car has own motor inside that door. It sounds like the motor shorted out and is draining the battery. to replace the motor you'll need a drill and a friend. The drill to put the facia back on the door, and the friend to help work the motors in and out of the door.
