I could start by changing the fuel filter, it'll cost about $25, if that doesn't work I could then check over the plugs wires etc, are they old if so change them, if that doesn't work check your fuel pressure, your fuel pump can be going bad. If none of these things work take it to a local reepair shop and ask them to diagnose the problem for you, it should only cost between $32 $65 tell them you could like a full written estimate on the fix. With this estimate you may be able to either fix it yourself if you feel confident in your fix capability, or if the job is complex you may be able to use the estimate to price shop the job at other fix shops so you be sure you get the best possible price. Spending the money to get it proffesionaly identified will really save you money in the long run. That way you may be able to fix the problem without taking the chance of purchasing and installing parts that you really don't need. As a service manager at a fix shop I can tell you that I have seen lots off backyard mechanics use up hundreds of dollars trying to fix there own cars or trucks just to end up bringing it into the shop and spending more money to get it repaired the right way. for example last week a man brought in his car that runned rough, he had installd new spark plugs, plug wires, fuel filter fuel pump, air filter, throttle body fix kit etc he spent appx $400 dollars and it still ran like crap. After my technicion spent just 20 min diagnosing the car he found a bad coil pack, the fix cost about $180. So my best awnser is get the estimate and save yourself some money and frustration. hope this helps out and good luck.
