You really have to learn if it',s burning oil or leaking. With only 110k on it it shouldn't be burning oil. If it's in fact burning oil then the engine could most probably have to be pulled out and rebuilt or replaced outright, that's costly. If it's leaking then it depends on where it's coming from. Rear major seals on the 4.0l are notorious for leaking and could be the most costly to fix at around $300400. The valve cover is another leak area and the oil will on occasion run down the back of the engine and be misdiagnosed as a rear major seal leak. Making totally sure where the leak originates can save money and time. Doing it yourself could save you lots.

If it's in dececent form, 4wd, has the 4.0, and is leaking oil rather than burning than $900 is a pretty great deal. they're good little pickups and are hard to find.

Ask can you test drive the truck and take it by a good mechanic and get him to look it over, and tell you what he thinks. A good mechanic may not find everything wrong, but they can give you a smart idea what kind of form its in. Most mechanics don',t charge much, just ask when you may be able to take it by so he'll have a little to look it over. If you don',t know a mechanic ask people you know who they use. If the seller don',t want to let you do this, you have to pass on this one. As far as the price, what kind of form is the truck in? Body, interior, paint. Look on the net and see what a 92 Comanche with the alternatives this one has are going for. If you go for it get a fix manuel and attempt to do some things for your self. This will save you money, and you learn a lot. Good luck
