is it a wrangler thing.. flashing lights at each other or waving..

it's showing that you're part of the brotherhood/sisterhood of Jeepers. it's something you will see usually with Wrangler and CJ drivers, but many XJ, FSJ, WJ, ZJ, and MJ drivers also meet the criteria. Just as much as many of the Wrangler drivers do not meet the criteria.

I see a big difference in the number of Jeep Waves I get when driving my Wrangler, vice driving my XJ. This is in spite of having a "It's a Jeep Thing" sticker across my windshield of the XJ.

Whoever jgobbel is, they just do not seem to get that this is not about being some club, it is about people that appreciate taking their Jeeps out into the world, and not just to get groceries with them.

You'll notice I have exactly excluded some vehicles with a Jeep nameplate on them: Liberty, Compass, and Commander. they are grocery getters. The jury is still out on the Patriot, but I am leaning toward the grocery getter position.

It's b/c they are idiots. They think they are all part of some special "cool guy" club b/c they drive Jeeps typically Wranglers.

It's all part of that "Jeep Thing" that you non Jeep holders are not supposed to understand.

You do not drive a JEEP, do you?

The Jeep Wave is the most awesome part of owning a Wrangler. I miss that part of moving on to strictly Cherokees and great Cherokees because the community behind the vehicles isn't as strong of a "family."

Although, I have to admit that my two years of owning a C4 Corvette opened me up to the "Vette Wave" among holders of C1 C4 Vettes. C5 and C6 holders aren't as loyal to the "Vette" realm as the holders of the vintage models.
