My 2006 Dodge Durango, 18,135 miles needed transmission work. Chrysler/ Dodge buyer service were so mean.
Has anybody else had this problem with them? What can we do as buyers to enhance their buyer service, separately from purchasing foreign?

please don't go import. definately not the answer.
what is it doing? we rarely have issues with the dakota/durango/1500 trans at work. once in a while maybe a solenoid or some funky delayed engagement that was filter established, but those filters are all but gone now. either deal with the dealerships general manager or go to another dealership if possible. and remember that we don't get paid unless we fix the problem..so we WANT to help fix it.

Try another dealer not all are bad. You could also complain to the owner of the dealership.

Chrysler has a page to report just this kind of thing. DO IT. Imports aren't the answer, poor manners are a personal thing, not a maker.
If it's in warranty, take it someplace else and be sure the manager of the offending dealer knows what happened. If rudeness if not stated, it'll go on.
Good Luck

Get used to being treated badly by the Dealer as most Dodge dealers are that way. I owned three Wranglers and a Durango and tried five different dealers all with the same results.

park the car in fron of the dealership with a sign on it saying don't purchase from this dealership.
dont purchase a foreign car that wont help economy.
i know dodge dealerships in nebraska are pretty good about service.
ALWAYS speak to the manager 1st when it comes to warranties

or don't purchase a dodge again
