I have a Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie with a HEMI engine. I love this truck except I think it has too much power for the light rear end. What can I do besides adding sandbags in the bed of the truck to get better traction. Every time I take off when it's a little wet on the road my tires turn.
I need more traction help

there is a company that makes what is just a waterbed matress to put in the bed of your truck. Add water when you want traction. Otherwise, you may want to think about upgrading your rear suspension to put the power to the ground.
Traction bars or ladder bars connect the rear differential to the frame, thus holding it in place throughout acceleration. This removes unwanted motion in the differential which causes wheel hop.

There is a product out there that's a water filled bladder that attaches to the inside of the truck bed. It adds about 300 lbs of weight, and may be drained/filled as frequently as needed. can not recall the name of it tho....

I'm not sure if it's the same on the truck but usually chrysler leaf springs are shorter in the front longer in the rear if this is the case with your truck traction bars will not work look into finding an adjustable pinion snubber this will largely decrease the problem.hope this helps,
