Question about increase on my car? |
|
Do I have to dyno my car everytime I change the boost?
Also, what exactly does increase do. If I put it at like 16 psi does it wait till my increase gauge reads 16psi, then kick in with the powerband and launch the car?

ok, more increase = more hp, when you change the increase you may want to tune it but if you went from twelve 16 then no you do not it's a steady change. but if you jump from twelve 24 yes dyno tune is a must or kiss your block goodbye. also your blow off valve may have to be upgraded or adjusted based on the increase.. that little thing is what is keeping your motor alive.. its a fail safe. increase is forced air into your engine, it MAKES the motor take air instead of just buildup from motion or suction. if you're trying to launch from a dead stop you want to rev about to your redline. about 500 less to be safe drag and drop the clutch.. be prepared to shift cuz second comes really fast after that. at red your increase will be at max.. so no worries there..
hope this helped, and have fun.. just to ask what are you driving?? a turbo eclipse??

It will have the same acceleration characteristics of your car now. Increase the increase, it'll increase hp so you'll really feel it when the turbo kicks in and only when the turbo kicks in.

boost is the amount of pressure in pounds that the turbo is forcing into the engine. clearly the higher the increase the harder the turbop is working and the faster you're going to go. Get a increase controller inside your car to alter this easyily. Best answer? :
