Rust Prevention?

Postby Canondzia » Sun Aug 26, 2007 7:37 am

I would not know. Cars do not rust in Arizona. I think a company called "ziebart tidy car" does rust proofing. I have seen some back east cars out here that have holes drilled into the body, spray this stuff in it and input the holes with the little yellow plugs.

If it is new and not already corroding, yes. If not you must get the old rust off before you rust evidence. But rust proofing in wintery states will assist lots..

Rust Prevention?

On newer car they say its your choice but not generally needed. If you live in the north like say Michigan it would not hurt to do it. It may increase your cars value. In south like Florida, cars still rust but no where near like northern states. salt is the major thing that rusts out cars anymore. if you get a paint chip is where it typically starts, it needs to be fixed or it can rust or if you have a hole in the outside of your car for whatever reason. hope that assists.
