can someone help me? Does anybody know the size of off set ring spanner required to loosen and tighten the lock nut on the band modification screw. I don't own a set of off set spanners and can only pay for to purchase singles.

Its hard to remember back to the old 83 models,they were DL and GL here in US. I think it was a 17mm and it was eight or 10mm for adjuster.

Take the tranny to the subaru dealership and I could bet at least the one in K.C. that the mechanics could be happy to loan you the right wrench. they're really the best..helpful. Great people. Good luck.
