Subwoofer wiring question?

Postby V8 » Tue Nov 03, 2009 2:18 am

I have two four ohm subs, that are both in separate boxes. I'm wondering what is the best way to wire them up to get them to sound the best? This is the amp that I have. rockfordfosgate.com/products/ help me.. and don't say "why could you put them in two seperate boxes" because its already done

Connect the subs together inside the box, outside the box, or just wire both at the amp. Its a one channel amp, so as long as you wire them in parallel, you're ok.

Just hook up both sets of wires to the amp together, its the same as parallel wiring.

well from what I understand. if you wire them in a series you may be able to reduce the oms down to 2.. and the amp will push out 750 wats. I know there's a way to lower it down two one.. but im not sure if it may be done with just two subs..
