Swap 96 Z28 engine and trans into 98 2w/Drive 2Dr Tahoe, How hard is this project?
I'm building the "DADDY" two door two wheel drive 98 tahoe for my girl. The project is almost complete. Now a friend gives me a 96 camaro Z28, and my brain is turnin into butter wrestling with the idea of changing out the motor and tranny. The real screw up is not an projected problem. The problem should be in converting the electronics, ECM, guages, ABS module, etc. If youve been there, give me some insight, or convince me to counter the exchange and save what little brain I have left.

After lookin thru all the links I have for the f bodies. I could not find any exchange liink for a LT1 into a truck. But, the link for the LT1 exchange or the LT1 exchange guide site s looks pretty good. as well, the LT1tech site looks pretty good on dealin with the LT1's wiring harness.

The major thing I could be worried with on this exchange is makin sure you as well, use the computer. That was in the Z28's with the LT1/4L60E ? . To be used with the engine and tranny once in the Hoe. Which it'll most likely need some trickin custom tuning to work with the sensors in the hoe. While mantaining the shift points for the 4L60E tranny, provided it's an auto your work with here. Not to talk about, some of the other sensors involved in the correct engine operation as will as the ABS sensors.

if you are doing i5t fro the 1st time it'll be tuff and it'll take one week
but is the garage it'll take only two to three days only
