XM radio was pre installed in my Infiniti Fx 35. It sucks, so I'd like to switch to Sirius radio now, but seemingly I have to do something to my radio to get Sirius to work. The dealer pointed me to soundgate.com but I am not sure what I am looking for on the site? Any ideas what equipment I have to make the change?

I do not know but XM and Sirius are merging so it is pretty much moot.

Soundgate exactly doesn't have a part for Sirius to be integrated with an Infinity. I do not know of anybody that makes one for Infinity's. In fact, I do not know many things that are made for Infinity's. Kind of like Lexus. A part made to integrate with a Toyota will not essentially work with a Lexus.

And to the above comment, the two businesses haven't done anything now but to begin the wheels in motion. there's still a big debate on if they'll be allowed to merge because this could then be a monopoly. I know, it is silly, I did not say I agree. as well, Sirius stated that the two businesses could most probably remain separate services and could start by adding ala carte tiers from the other service. don’t have fear, you XM and Sirius radios will still work well inot the future..

well that man did not say when the two will merge. till then, you may have to go with what the dealer said. I think what the dealer means is that you'll need a interface. Then you'll have to purchase an external Sirius unit. Well you may be able to discuss your alternatives with soundgate.
This may be your excuse to treat yourself to an new cd/mp3/Sirius deck.
