The Hyundai Sonata. Is it a luxury car?

Not close to a luxury car any more then an Accord/Altima is. The 2001 is not that great of a Sonata, the new model is much better. I love Hyundai, but lets not get ahead of ourselves here, a completely loaded Sonata with V6 is lavish, but still not a luxury car. The Azera but is a luxury car with more features then the Sonata, a bigger interior/exterior, more power and smoother ride for a great price. The Azera compares favorably with the M35 Sedan, TL, Avalon/ES350 and other luxury cars. Hold the horses, in less then one year the Genesis RWD with optional V8 and cooled seats will be available to show you what true luxury is all about.so ahead and cancel your order for the RL/GS430/E430/535I etc.

my husband has the older variant of the sonata and I don't think its a luxury car but the newer ones may be.

I have driven quite some luxury cars and they do not have nothing over my Sonata.

I had a 2007 Sonata as a loaner car for a week . It isn't as lavish as the Santa Fe because some things like the radio and center console seem tacky . The trunk doesn't have a spring help . But it did handle well, and in fact my wife's 2000 Chevy Malibu LS is more plush and comfy .
The Hyundai Luxury Sedan is the Azzura But it may be a tad overpriced ? .

well, I drive 2006 v6 GLS sonata and I do not think it is a luxury car. I just think it is pretty average level car.

HELL NO.. its barely a car. hyundai and luxury don't go together. hyundai and junkyard do. so don't lisen to bad advice like the one from beavanjb and keep the order for the RL/GS430/E430/535I etc.
