Your car has an electronic speedo. there's a speed sensor in the transmission and it',s connected by a wire to the speedometer in the dashboard. You don',t have the older type rotating cable in your car.
If you follow the lower radiator hose from the radiator to the hose end on the thermostat housing on the engine, under the housing you'll see on the transmission the speed sensor with a three wire connector. It',s the only sensor at this part of the transmission.
Check that the wires are on properly and clean the connectors. agreements seem to get faults in the speed sensors quite frequently but, if after checking the wires the speedo still doesn',t work, you most likely need a new sensor. be sure you get the correct sensor for your model so that the speedo is correct.
It may be a fault in the speedometer in the dash of course, but problems with the sensor are lots more common. Fix that 1st.
