My 2001 Dodge Caravan has 65K miles. I'm considering the 1st tune up suggested every 60K miles . The dealer quoted a tune up for $575 but I found another shop that will use OEM parts plugs, wires, fuel filter, PCV for $365.

My brother says if it is not broke, do not fix it and many cars manufacturers now say tune up's every 100K miles .

Do you think it'll be worth the $365? with increased fuel efficiency or smoother idle, etc.

you may be able to probobly do it yourself for cheaper.or find a friend who knows how.usually a tune up is healthy for your car.depends on how long you wanna keep it.don't do a tune up and sell it a month afterward.i could recommend this if you wanted to keep the car for many years to come
also, if the car feels good and is working good, I could leave it as is and wait till you feel it's needed.most dealerships charge more than local guys because they offer "qualified" and "certified" mechanics.it is your choice although

I'm surprised it's still running being a Chrysler. typically they burn to the ground. Good luck.

Yes, because it is not worth the risk of something going wrong. Anything could occur to any car, so I reccommend the tune up. It also depends on how much longer you intend to keep your car. If it is for a year or less, do not get the tune up, if it is in surplus of a year, I'd get it.
