Used Cars For Teens? |
|
I just got my license and looking for a used car.
Im looking for something that is not a beater or old.
The cars that I think are a great price and not old have about 100,000 + miles on them.
My question is there a bound I should stop at on mileage or look for other things before purchasing.
Im probbally only going to use it usually for school and work which are both close.
Thanx

If you're interested in purchasing a car, but feel as although you simply don't have the money, a government car auction may be the best opportunity for you. you may be able to find unbelievable deals, and it isn't unusual for people to save thousands of dollars. if you’re in the market for a new car or not.
You’ll find that, at a government seized auto auction, there's a big range of automobiles available for you to bid on. The most of vehicles at a government car auction have been repossessed from criminals or people who failed to make payments on government loans. There are government car auction vehicles that are "retired" police cruisers or another government vehicles that are not in service. you may be able to typically find a large range of makes and models,
Not many people know about government seized auto auctions, so there won't be lots of competition for vehicles that you’re bidding on. There are so various vehicles to decide from, you’re bound to find one that will become someone’s next dream car. if you want to purchase a car to re sell, or you’re looking for a car for yourself or a child, a government seized auto auction is the best place to look for an cheap used car. Most of your Foreign cars like Hondas or Nissans are well made and run for 200k+ miles. you may be able to find a decent accord or civic for pretty cheap, and they get good gas mileage. they're also cheap on insurance and they look nice.

I had a 96 chevy with 126,000 miles and it ran like a pro. If the engine was well kept, then all you may want to have to do is get a basic tune up, maybe change the brakes and tires.

Don't purchase a 100k mile car unless it says "toyota" or "honda" on it, then only if a mechanic inspected it and told you it is dependable.
Otherwise, set your sites on a car with 30k to 50k miles and not older than four model years. Once vehicles hit the 75k mile mark or start to get five years or older, you start to see repairs grow pretty considerably. Some ideas:
03 05 Ford concentrate, Ford Taurus, Chevy Cavalier, Chevy Malibu, Dodge Neon, Mistubishi anything, Hyundai anything, Toyota or Honda anything but you will have a hard time finding one for less than 10k, or anything that is less than two years old.
My best advice to student drivers your car isn't your identity. This is your 1st car. You have a lifetime to get a car that is "cool". Save money and get something cheap and crappy. That way, you will generally have a new car to look forward to when you graduate from college and you will have money to purchase books, dinner out, and some adult beverages when you reach the age.
Oh yeah, avoid anything with a VW or Kia on it. These cars have awful dependability do not take my word for it, check buyer reports .

I'm 18 and own two trucks and a car. all three were used and older. the best way to get a great price on a used car is to go to a tow yard auction where they auction off all the cars people do not pick up. if you bring along someone to assist you you may be able to find a real bargain. some of them you may have to put a little work into while others are in great condition. just look around. also check the classified ads. if you're purchasing a car that will last you go with either Dodge or Chevy. both will run with lots of abuse. do not worry too much about the mileage. I have one truck at 225,000+ and it still runs. just be sure it was taken care of properly before and take a test drive or have someone you trust look it over. a good thing to check before purchasing is liquid levels. they'll typically tell you a bit about how it has been maintained. if everything is full and clean then it was maintained otherwise its a guessing game. you may be able to email me at hunter1stshot@.com if you have any questions and ill be happy to do what I can. good luck

Politically in correct..but Jeep Cherokee SUV.
Parts are cheap and readily available. The rice rockets may get better mileage, but for safety against the big number of SUV's on the road, think about fight fire with fire. Put both my son's in Cherokees and great Cherokees. Both now over 200,000 miles,,with maintenance performed. One son and two friends of his survived a head on crash in the Cherokee. attempt that in Honda.
For your safety think about the Cherokee..4 L..not Four cylinder. There are ton's of mods to make it an individual safe mode of transportation.
