Can you change a front wheel drive nissan 200sx to rear wheel drive?

Why do not you just get a 240SX.

yes if you change the motor,,we put a Chevy 350 in a front wheel drive Mazda 626,,it was a play toy,,we had lots of fun with it,,but yes it may be done,,you have to be good with a cutting torch,,and a welder,,and have a good old parts car,,because your going to need it,,hope this help,s I own a fix shop,,and once in a while we do some of these.

You could be better off to use a rwd platform and cut down the frame if needed and put the nissan body on the frame. These cars weren't intended to support the strain of a rear wheel drivetrain. If it hooks up you can be replacing windows from the body flex. Good luck and have fun.

yes you may be able to change a 200sx from fwd to rwd.i've a seen rwd b11 sunny/sentra with a mazda 13b and a honda prelude transformed to rwd with a chevy 350 v8.but it'll take a lot of work..better off to get a jdm silvia also called the 200sx which is already rwd and comes with a SR20DET.

you can but proably cheaper to just sell it and purchase a 180sx they drift better, I presum that y you want rwd, P

I agree with JennyJ, get a 240sx if you want the FR set up. it'll cost you less purchasing another car. Or a Z31 Turbo. FR, t top, 200 stock hp.a lot of summer fun. Check out my Z31 at "cardomain.com". Look for "musha_man9".

You can do anything you want to a car, and they'll make it work, but it'll cost you lots of money..

it will take MONEY, lots of money, talked about front and rear subframes, engine, transmissions, custom trans mounts & motor mounts, custom trans tunnel, firewall, rear diff, axels, hubs, suspension, driveshaft, and big amounts of custom fabrication. for the price you could build a high power 240sx. but it could be fun to attempt and RWD a 200sx.
