The pass window normaly drops ten 15mm when the door opens to clear the soft top seals.I can hear the door handle microswich operating and the power window motor turn but it fails to drop.All other functions work O.K as an example when the soft top opens the windows drop by around 6cm Boxster

there's a microswitch inside the door frame, maybe it needs some lubrication, attempt a spray of wd 40

maybe the motor is dead.maybe reset the car or take to the dealer. good luck.
