For economy, the Honda Civic.
For comfort, the Honda Accord, four cyl if you want to save money, V six if you like better acceleration and handling.
Both have top notch dependability.
Last February, we replaced a Toyota Corolla LE with a Civic EX Sedan and a Mitsubishi Galant GS with an Accord V six EX. we are pleased with both cars.

i think hondas, toyotas, kias are good cars too.suzuki is good cars

Mustang V6 loaded, or Mustang GT plain without any anemities. I'd take the Mustang GT, because you can not beat a V8. But a V6 is still pretty fast.

A Nissan Altima 3.5. If you shop carefully you may be able to get a Maxima about 25K.

they are all good but I could say the new eclipse and the new Si from honda beat the rest also the new accord from honda

Toyota prius, camry, Nissan Altima, Chevy Impala, Honda accord, or used maxima. Camry holds its value well. Avoid Dodge Stratus and Chrysler Sebring.

Accord is a great choice, and you'll be able to pick one up for quite a bit under your budget, giving you some extra money to deck it out :-)
