i ran over something on the freeway driving my 02 accord se and it hit my lower left front bumper, cracked my rim, took off two of my splash guards and made my airbags go off. now there's an uneven clearance around the left wheel and it turns to the left pretty bad. and also I have to have my steering wheel tilted to the right to go straight on the road. I have checked the suspension and nothing looks to be bent..any help?

Either suspension or steering may be bent and it',s possible that you won',t see the problem. Your best bet is to take it to an alignment or frame expert. As with any other professionals, it',s best to ask around to learn who is competent. Start by asking your regular mechanic and body shop. There are lots of shopsespecially "chains" who offer alignments but are incompetent because they hire anybody. Driving your car as is will chew up tires, besides being a ache to drive. You can be able to get by with just an alignment, or you may need new parts.

You need a wheel alignment. That',s where they check and correct the camber, caster, and toe/in of your front wheels. be sure they center the steering wheel, as that's part of the job. be sure to do this now, because a bad wheel alignment can really chew up your tires shortly order.
