What engine could you favor in the Audi TT a 2.0T or 3.2 V6?

I`ve read reviews, and the 2.0T is said to be better, for evident reasons caused by the weight of the V6 and the Quattro 4WD. I know there isn't much difference in performance between the two engines, and still the price difference is quite hefty, but the thing about the 3.2 was when I drove one, for me it had more torque.

The 2.0T is a good engine, and suits the car, but I think i`d favor the V6.

What do you think please?

From my point of view Having worked theoretically on Audi TT's since their launch inside a franchised dealership I could go for the V6. it is the engine that the TT generally deserved and makes it into a different beast completely. Your correct that the improved torque of the V6 makes the car more responsive and balanced. Couple this with improved dependability over the 225turbo unit Turbo's prone to failure and noisy cam chains etc and the V6 could be my choice every day of the week.

I could have an RS4, so should you.

normally aspirated v6, it'll be more dependable in the long run, plus the torque advantage you're talking about

i could go for 2.0t

Yeah, the 2.0L is a good engine for the TT, also as Audi's other base models, they are good on gas and turbocharged to put out 200hp/207ft lbs. Of course, with the 3.2L power gets bumped up to 250hp and could be more suited to the TT, since it is Quattro AWD system weighs down the car somewhat, you need something to give it a pick me up. Granted Audi wants more money for the upgraded engine, but it'd be worth it if you really want performance out of the TT quattro instead of just good gas mileage.

2.0t better car out of the two, and lots more faster. I have one myself and out the two I think its the better one after driveing both,i love mine.

It must be the 3.2 V6 it is so much costly and goes so well with my girl friends Blond hair and 'very expensive' sun glasses.

actually my last ca rwas an Audi A4 3.0 quattro and my girlfriend owns a VW Eos 2.0T. there's a big difference in engines. the V6 is much much faster. there's no comparison between the two what is so ever. The V6 could leave the 2.0T in the dust.

The 3.2 feels and sounds like a sports car, it has a nice deep exhaust tone, verses the 2.0T sounds like your everyday four cyl, you can not hear the turbo unless all your windows are down and your doing hard acceleration.

The extra not many great is much worth it. and trust me, if your going to use up that kind of money on a car, choice it with AWD to get a FWD TT is so stupid.

When I traded my A4 AWD for my accord that's FWD I hated it the 1st couple of weeks. the handling was great on the audi. its like no other car really.

You can not go wrong with either engine although.

I'd propose the 3.2 V6, as personally I am not too keen on turbocharged engines

id take to the v6, bigger the better.
