Drilled rotor's are better, heat dissapate's quicker through the drilled rotor better.

slotted is over all better the hole in a crossdrilled rotor are only the for weight reduction. cross drilled rotor are only to be used for light track use and for looks. sloted rotors have shallow slots machined into the disc’s front and rear surfaces to offer paths to disperse built up heat and gasses, and help in refreshing the surface of the brake pads. in comparison to cross drilled rotors, machined slots have been widely adopted for racing and street use because they minimize the cracking caused by repeated, high stress, high temperature brake applications. The slots are angled to use the rotors’ direction of rotation to improve their performance, which makes the rotors side particular with left and right side rotors. if you're planning to go all out go for a set of slotted rotors, but if its just for looks cross drilled will be good. you may be able to generally go for slotted/cross drilled rotors that is what I am going to to to my Xa in some months

After testing, I noticed that slotted rotors have less heat after expanded use. My guess is the slots help dissapate the heat with centrifugal force and with the help of the ventilation as most cars have today .

I would not reccommend drilled rotors caused by rotors having weaker structure around the holes. I have seen many times where cracks start to form around the edge of the holes.

OK.here's the deal on slotted/cross drilled/vented brakes. Disc brakes are vented radially to improve heat move to the air from the rotor. This keeps rotor temps down and decreases brake fade.
Cross drilled/slotted brakes have rotors with slots machined into the surface or holes drilled through them. Under extreme conditions i.e. race conditions where the brakes are heavily applied and released many times in fast succesion the slots/holes supply an exit for gases released by the brake pad material. Without the exit, the gases could inhibit contact between the rotor and the pad, decreasing brake usefulness. they're generally worthless on the street for day to day driving, as regular driving isn't severe enough to let gas build up.
From a performance point of view, slotted drilled rotors are a waste of money for a street driven ride. For a race car, who cares how quickly the pads wear? Replace them between races.

Of course, the best answer is Slotted and drilled rotors. But they are so damn costly. The cheaper drilled rotors deduct lots of heat from the pads, but the slotted do not do as good of a job.
