CKD is the abbreviation for ‘Complete Knock Down’ whereas SKD is 'Semi Knock Down’. If the product is in CKD or SKD form it isn't finished still and needs some assembly processes. clearly this is due to difference in the custom tariffs imposed on the finished product and on the semi finished product. for example in China, the custom tariffs on domestic electrical equipment range between 16.7% and 30%, whereas for parts, parts and accessories the custom tariff is 12%.
