I am looking at a 2003 XC90 AWD with 89k miles. How more life is left in the car?

I don',t think the XC90 has the durability life span of other Volvo models. 89,000 isn',t much for a Volvo but the XC90s are complex vehicles and their track record for needed repairs isn',t that good. Older Volvos often roll up some number of hundred thousand miles on the odometer and still keep going but this isn',t the case recently. If you're still considering this car insist on seeing the service records and if the seller can',t make them think about that a deal breaker. There are better choices. Volvo was living on its laurels of safety and durability for a long time and justifiably so but there are too many other more useful players in the market today.

Any Volvo made after 1990 is a rolling can of problems. The engines and transmissions will last forever, but everything else on the car will $1,000 you to death. No fix is cheap and nothing on the car other than the engine and transmission will last much past the original warranty. It',s sad to say but Volvos are crap once the warranty runs out.

Guy above me. Volvo',s improved, bud. Not sure if you',re aware that many Volvo',s are CR suggested. And got three got cheap luxury from AOL.



Anyways. The XC90, if it's T6, wouldn',t be a great deal. I could look at an 06 if I were you. But if you do go for it, get a carfax, service records, go to the dealer and get all the new software upgrades.

It will last forever if you take care of it.
